Children of Eden

Sleeping there like angels Innocent and simple... I think she's got my nose I think he's got my dimple... In my own image From my likeness are they sprung ...They will keep me company They will keep me young....That's what it means to be a Father... Planning their future as you watch your children sleep... That's what it means to be a Father I never knew that I could feel a love so deep... Well I will be their teacher and I will be their guide... And anything they'll ever need I'll be there to provide... And in return, they'll love me Stay forever at my side.... That's what it means to be a Father.... For I have built a universe, spectacular and new... And I sat there in my universe and learned that this was true:  What use is a universe with no one to give it to?  Not a hill of beans 'Til you pass along your genes...

That's what it means to be a Father

Memories, moments in time, forever captured in our hearts and minds... I close my eyes and am transported back in time:

 A child arrived just the other day, He came to the world in the usual way.

Dad,  did I ever tell you you're my hero? You're everything, I hope I will be...Your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren see the sacrifices you have made for each of us, willingly and without complaint, simply to ensure our happiness. Fathers seldom say "I love you" but you have always shown us your love by unselfishly giving us everything of yourself that you possibly can.  I am awed by the depth of this love, and also by how you continue to show us not only how to love but also what love and being a parent means. We want you to know that that the love you've given us is returned to you, a thousand fold, not just on Fathers Day  but everyday. 

Don't let Father's Day go by without making sure your dad knows how much you appreciate all he is and all he has always unselfishly done for you... Fathers day is a day of commemoration and celebration of Dad. It is a day to not only honor your father, but all men who have acted as a father figure in your life - whether as Stepfathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, or "Big Brothers."
